Data stored on your device

Subjaroen AI is local-first. Your slip records, income/expense entries, categories, and saved slip images live only in a database on your device. There are no user accounts, no sign-up, and no central server holding your financial data.

Data sent off-device for processing

To read slips and answer chat messages, some data is sent temporarily over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection to AI processors:

1. Slip scanning (image → data)

When you scan or pick a slip image, the slip image leaves your device to our server and is forwarded to two AI processors to extract its contents:

• Typhoon OCR (opentyphoon.ai / SCB 10X) — converts the slip image to text.
• Google Gemini API — converts that text to structured fields (amount, date, sender/receiver names, etc.).

2. Chat & voice assistant

When you type or speak to the assistant, your message plus a partial financial summary from your device (e.g. monthly totals by category) is sent to the Google Gemini API to generate a response.

What we do not do

• We do not store slip images on the server after processing — the image is discarded from memory as soon as the result is returned.
• We use the paid tier of the Gemini API, which Google states is not used to train its models.
• We use no analytics SDKs and do not track user identity.
• We do not sell or share your data with third parties for advertising.

Device identifier

To manage the free-usage quota, we send a SHA-256 hash of a device identifier with each request. It is a random value that cannot be reversed to your identity and is used only for quota counting.
